Is it better to be altruistic or is it better to be real???

Hey guys,

I'm wondering whether or not making my blogspace more scandalous is a good idea

I'm worrying about hurting peoples' feelings, yet blogging about peoples' bad outfits and scandalous relationships is so tempting!!!

It's not really the "right thing" but it's certainly working for my mentor, Perez.

Should I be listening to the bitchy girl inside of me or Thumper from Bambi???

So, I'm asking my readers, which would you prefer and why???

Britney's back Bitches!!!...Dreams really do come true

Last night, my very best friends' pulled off the stunt of a lifetime and took me to Britney Spears!!!

My bestest tells me that I must accompany her to a "work party". We arrive at stadium station and begin walking up the hill.

I ask, "how much further?", and she pulls our tickets from her purse and asks me to verify the address.

My eyes fall on the $95 dollar price point and I exclaim, "Wow, your company really splurged on our covercharge!!" My eyes continue to scan for the address and I SEE THE WORDS, "BRITNEY SPEARS".

My next words are,"Erin, these are fraudulent tickets!!! These are not "work party tickets", these are fau- Britney Spears' tickets!"

Infact, they were NOT fraudulent at all...I held in my hands two tickets to BRITNEY FREAK'IN SPEARS!!!

The concert was FIERCE!!! Everything was top notch from the friendly cougars in the seats beside us , to the publicity stunt on stage (after just three songs Britney STOPPED THE SHOW!)

She did resume performing, but millions definately had time to TWEET about it first!!!

THANKYOU, THANKYOU, THANKYOU!!!

The Universe is conspiring in my favour!!!

As most of you know, last weekend I had the privellege of attending the Juno's.

Prior to the show, I stood very close to the red carpet and schmoozed with all the celebrities.

As if she'd fallen from the pages of this very blogspace, Buffy Sainte Marie appeared!!!

She was stunning, and incredibly gracious!!!

My service learning is done!!!!

I hope I'm the only person who is just now discovering Buffy Sainte-Marie and that the rest of you have been listening to her for years, she is really on-point.

Among many accolades, Buffy is an Oscar winner (her song was featured in "Officer and a Gentleman") and a FELLOW CANADIAN!!!

Buffy continues to do advocacy work. She now lives and creates art in the state of Hawaii.

Let's all become better stewards

Tonight I reflected with my academic peers on Social Policy issues in Canada, namely: Aboriginal Authority, Universal Child Care, and Inclusive education.

Each of us are passionate, determined advocates of these issues...we want JUSTICE!!!

We want "The Man" or the government(s), both Federal and Provincial, to PAY ATTENTION, PRIORITIZE and FUND our causes....

I believe in the power of numbers...so yes, I think it's important that we continue to pressure the government for support...

But let us not forget that WE ARE ONE OF THE WORLD'S WEATHIEST NATIONS , and let us COME TOGETHER and find NEW RESOURSES and CREATIVE WAYS to become better stewards of THE WEALTH that we do have.

Things like:

• using existing school buildings as home to after-school-care programs


• initiating mentorship programs with senior centres


• funding cultural centres that give new immigrants a place to belong and be themselves


• designing universal curriculum that better meets the needs of diverse learners

I believe that these are all steps in the right direction....

The new face of Bollywood!!!

Check it out bbs!!! PCD is now the new face of Bollywood!!! Sure PCD's homage to traditional South Asian garb is a little gratuitous, but those HARD BODIES!!!!... I lost my train of thought...well, they're bringing attention to a beautiful culture and, I think, there is merit in that.
